Elissa is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya. She holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Nairobi and a Post-graduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law.
In addition, Elissa has over four years of legal experience spread across the corporate sector and in private practice where she worked as a trainee associate/ intern under guidance and training from Senior Advocates in the Profession. She commenced her training and gained valuable experience on commercial law at Soita & Company Associates.
She further diversified this knowledge while working on banking securities, conveyancing, litigation and general commercial agreements at the Co-operative Bank of Kenya.
Before joining Omusolo Mungai and company, Elissa undertook her Pupillage at Simba & Simba Advocates where she handled litigation, Intellectual property, conveyancing and commercial law matters. At Omusolo, she continues to support through innovative thinking, research and advice, on all aspects of the firm’s work.
Beyond her legal work, Elissa has continued to contribute to other sectors. She has participated in the UNEP Eco-system Based Adaptation for Food Security in Africa Assembly and at the ITU & Communications Authority of Kenya Capacity Building Programme on ICT Sector Laws.
In addition to being an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, Elissa is currently pursuing the Certified Secretaries course towards attaining the title of a Certified Secretary. She is passionate about Alternative Dispute Resolution and is a Certified Mediator.

Gregory is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a Certified Fraud Examiner. He holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from University of Nairobi and a Post-Graduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law. Having served for eight years as in-house counsel at ABC Group and Co-operative Bank Group, Gregory brings an insiders perspective to commercial law practise, spanning conveyancing law and practise, drafting and negotiation of commercial agreements, banking and corporate finance, debt recovery, financial aspects of succession law and estate management and many aspects of Banking and financial services regulation.
He has received certification in drafting and negotiation of ICT contracts, unpacking of international financial regulations such as The Foreign Accounts Tax Compliance Act (FATCA), drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts in financial services, money transfer, partnership with local and international service providers of secure money transmission systems and many more.
Gregory has been the lead support in project financing for large debt financed transactions (including loan syndication with other lenders) comprising commercial malls, roads construction, manufacturing concerns and others. He was a member of the joint task force formed by the Office of the President to implement Annuity Financing for Construction of Low Volume Seal (Rural) Roads.
He has also liaised with and developed good relations with the Capital Markets Authority, The Central Bank of Kenya, The Banking Fraud Investigation Unit, The Insurance Regulatory Authority, The Energy Regulatory Commission, The Kenya Civil Aviation Authority among others.
Through support to the Banking Group’s subsidiaries and related companies, Gregory has honed his skills on capital markets practise and regulations, wealth management, regulated financial instruments for capital raising, negotiating sector specific financing with Development Finance Institutions and in Insurance law and practise to name a few. Other areas of expertise include the Energy sector (Power generation and transmission, and the Oil and Gas sub-sectors), Intellectual Property Law and ICT Law.
Gregory was instrumental in advising on and developing a window for sharia compliant financial products for ABC Bank and received extensive training in Islamic finance. He is therefore uniquely positioned to provide legal services to Islamic financial institutions.
He has served as a member of the Kenya Bankers Association Legal Affairs and Compliance Committee and is a member of the Leasing Association of Kenya. On invitation by the KBA Alternative Dispute Resolution Centre, Gregory has participated in the pilot programme on alternative dispute resolution mechanisms in Kenya. He is currently pursuing accreditation as a mediator recognizing the anticipated move by the financial services industry and the judiciary towards court annexed mediation.
Kathure holds a Masters degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Nairobi. Kathure has over six years of legal practice with a solid understanding of commercial and conveyancing law having practiced within the private sector in different law firms. With an academic background in both Business Administration and Law, she contributes great value to the team.
She has consistently undertaken Banking Securities work including preparation and registration of Charges, Mortgages, Guarantees, Leases and general commercial agreements. She is also well versed in preparation of conveyancing documents for various residential and commercial developments with commendable exposure to the various land law regimes in the country and in particular the administrative, procedural and legal aspects involving transfer and ownership of land in various parts of the country. She equally has a good understanding and competence in Intellectual Property Law, Succession matters – including advising on and preparation of Wills and Trusts as well as the court process in Probate and Administration matters.
Kathure also advises on Corporate Governance matters and has gained considerable experience in the preparation of various corporate commercial contracts including joint ventures, hire purchase agreements, shareholders’ agreements as well as incorporation of private and public companies and various other entities such as partnerships, trusts, savings and co-operative societies and foundations and advising on the regulatory framework thereof.
In addition to her knowledge in the corporate and commercial law sphere, Kathure possesses debt recovery skills having served in one of the leading financial institutions in the country. She has equally ventured into employment law matters while in private practice, reviewing and giving opinions on employment contracts as well as compliance with the existing labor laws of the country.
In addition to being an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, she is also a Commissioner of Oaths, Notary Public and Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. Kathure is currently pursuing the arbitration course through the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators towards attaining the title of Chartered Arbitrator.
