
CATHERINE WANGUI KIIRU- Head of Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution
She has received certifications from the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and continues to pursue certification towards attaining the status of Chartered Arbitrator. Catherine is also pursuing accreditation as a Mediator, in line with the recognition by the Judiciary, to bolster Alternative Dispute Resolution. She has further received certification in Contract Management as well as a Certificate in Improving Labor Relations and Organizational Efficiency.
Catherine is a member of the Law Society of Kenya, the East Africa Law Society and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
Catherine has represented and advised local and International clients in Commercial Litigation, Employment and Labor disputes, Land Disputes, Debt recovery and Estate Planning and Administration. She has also represented clients in complex commercial Arbitrators.
She has been engaged in the formulation of Human Resource and Policy manuals for both local and International NGO’s, has advised on the restructure and re-organization of corporate organizations and NGO’s and has successfully defended all claims filed as a result of the restructures. She has further represented numerous banking institutions in complex commercial litigation which has been instrumental in bolstering her practice skills.
Catherine has further participated in corporate and business programs with a special focus on client trainings and workshops on emerging legal jurisprudence in the legal jurispendence in the Employment and Energy sector.
